I know what you're thinking. Why do I need to see another long list of results featuring usernames I've never heard of, and which don't include mine? You're right. What follows IS a long list of usernames, those that won big events over the weekend. These are the online poker world's Tom Bradys, its Serena Williams, its Lewis Hamiltons, its Usain Bolts, and its Tiger Woods ... well perhaps not its Tiger Woods. If you competed against them and lost, then you so against the best. If you won, well then victory was well earned. Who'd want it any other way?
* bargeeeld wins the Sunday Million to collect $120,108
* The MPC plays on in Macau
So, to those usernames...
This week's Sunday Million winner was bargeeeld of Germany, a username not necessarily one we'd consider familiar. Regardless, he boosted his bankroll by $120,108 a few hours ago as part of a three-way deal with jm1306 and EvertonBezer.
As Jason Kirk reported for the PokerStars Blog, bargeeeld did it the unlikely way, coming back from being all-in with very little at the start of the final table, to the week's biggest winner. A chip and a chair? It's not just a well-worn and tiresome cliché - it actually works! For proof, read Jason's report here.

You can make someone smile just by remembering their name and immortalize a person by honoring their name. There is so much power and influence within what someone is called, it’s essential to take the time and think of really good usernames and nicknames.
Keep in mind that the ideas below are a compilation of a lot of information throughout the web and a few good ideas I’ve had when coming up with some of my best friend’s nicknames. As you know, there are limitless options and you can pick and choose which ones are most applicable to you.
You may not realize but many of the nicknames are wrought with history, tales of love, family, mispronunciation, and more. In the article below, I’ll go into detail and provide tips and tricks to come up with your very own moniker.
“When I go out with the ladies, I don’t force them to pronounce my name. I tell them I like to go by the nickname of Kitten.” – Joaquin Phoenix
What Makes A Cool Username?
Let’s get into the top tips I have to make sure you think of the very best usernames possible and a bit about what not to do. It’s something that you’re left with for a long time and it better be something that you like and will stand the test of time.
1. Don’t use the very first thing that pops into your head. often times this isn’t necessarily well thought out and you’ll likely think of better ones after the first bit. As with most things, give it a bit of time to sink in.
2. Use examples from your daily life, from where you live, to where you eat, a common hobby, favorite sports team, favorite musician, or a special person or animal in your life.
3. Keep your username limited to 15 characters and definitely less than 20 characters. Often times a shorter username will be more memorable and other people will more likely be able to pronounce it and recall it
4. Turn your real name into a rhyme or play around with the letters or numbers. For example, my name is Trevor and I could use 7revor instead of Trevor in my username.

5. Use alliteration within your name to make it roll off the tongue a bit easier and more memorable. Many companies and famous brands do this from Best Buy, to Coca Cola, to LA Lakers.
6. Insert symbols into your username, such as a ♥ to make it a bit more unique and add a bit of personality to your name that will jump out at readers.
7. Think of words that are fun to say or that somehow jump out at you as a great word. For example, “cellar door” which was coined the most perfect word in the English dictionary. On the other hand, many people would also cringe at the word “moist” in a username.
8. Throw in adjectives about yourself or that you’d like to portray to other people. You can include cute, funny, extrovert, nerd, athletic, etc. It’s all up to you what personality traits you want to use.
9. Use an object that means a lot to you, an heirloom, one of your favorite gifts, etc. This can be a great way to remember something that’s important to you.
10. Double check on the platform to see whether it’s already taken, you can go to sign up and tell if the username is already taken. Since there are so many options out there, make sure you choose a couple just in case your first pick is not available.

Hopefully that gave you a good sense of usernames and some methods for coming up with your own.
How To Create Good Nicknames
Next, I’ll outline some tips that will help you out with nicknames that just stick and will stay with the person for years to come. It’s not always the easiest and of course depends on the person’s name usually but with a bit of work it can become super fun!
1. The best nicknames are ones that come naturally and aren’t forced. Hang out with the person a lot and eventually natural one will come up. Of course the rule of thumb is you cannot come up with a nickname for yourself.
2. Probably the most common nickname is to just shorten the name of the person. For example, my name is Trevor and people sometimes call me Trev. The same goes for first and middle names, it’s not uncommon to combine the first and middle name or just to use the first and middle initial.
3. Focus on something unique about the person, either a physical attribute, a personality feature, a common thing the person says, or a common way someone acts. These things can provide insights into adjectives about how you would describe the person and can be used to come up with potential names.
4. Another super common replacement is to just call someone by their last name, especially if it’s on the short end and sounds cool.
5. Use a funny example of an event, something you said, or incident and use that as your nickname. These can often times be inside jokes and not everyone would understand where the nickname came from. However, it’s fine if not everyone understands it.
That wraps up tips to come up with great nicknames and hopefully gave you a good sense for how girls or guys can have different playful names that describe themselves.
